WIN Technology partners with, sponsors and supports many organizations in the Chippewa Valley area, and one of our strongest partnerships that we are especially proud of is with Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC). Their mission is to deliver innovative, applied, and flexible education that supports a diverse community of learners, improves the lives of students, and adds value to our communities.
That is a mission we can get behind! In fact, many of our valued employees are graduates of CVTC’s IT programs, so we’ve experienced first-hand the value they add to our organization and communities.
A Foundational Partner
Scott Hoffmann, our CEO, has served on the CVTC Foundation Board since 2018, serving a variety of roles and serving on several standing committees. We annually sponsor student scholarships and are a sponsor of their annual Gala. We are excited that our name will soon adorn their IT Cybersecurity Lab at the Business Education Center.
Offering Industry Insights through Advisory Boards
Members of our Network Administration and Network Operations Center team serve on the Network Advisory Board and attend the CVTC IT-NS and IT-Cybersecurity Advisory meetings to provide industry insights to guide proposed program changes.
Data Center Tours Give a Glimpse into Network Technologies
For the past 10 years, our WIN network team has provided over 30 tours to the students in CVTC’s IT Network Specialist program. These tours include a full tour of our data center, discussion of the technical roles at WIN Technology and an in-depth overview of our internet and transport core network.
Looking Ahead to Inspiring More Students to Pursue STEM
Since 2022, WIN has hosted the Imagine Summit, an annual event geared towards engaging and inspiring 7th to 10th grade girls to pursue science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and STEM related careers. CVTC has been a key partner since we launched the event and offered a Career Pathways session to help students consider options for a career in STEM.
For the 2024 event, we are excited to embark with CVTC on a co-hosted event to be held on the CVTC campus. This partnership will allow us to increase the number of students who can attend, expose students to a college campus environment and provide a great learning environment with sessions led by STEM educators.

The WIN and CVTC partnership not only adds value to our community through events like the Imagine Summit, but it also benefits students and the WIN organization.
